Where can I find a puppy raising program for assistance dos?

I would like to participate in a puppy raising program ( they raise puppies for cci and guide dogs for the blind etc ) but all of the programs require you to meet weekly at there facilities with the puppy and most of these are like 5 hours away! I live in western nc ( please dont stalk me ) do u know any puppy raising programs that accommodate to western nc
I’m not really sure how far West you are, but New Life Mobility Assistance Dogs is in Moravian Falls, North Carolina. This organization represents what (from a rescuer’s point of view) is the most responsible type of Assistance Dog Organization- one that RESCUES it’s assistance dogs instead of breeding them. According to their page, they only occasionally raise puppies for use, but you may be able to foster or volunteer. http://nlmad.org/index.html
Most Canine Assistance Programs have VERY high failure rates regardless of stringent breeding practices Every year hundreds of pups fail and add to our growing pet overpopulation problem. In fact, programs that rescue puppies actually have better retention rates then breeding programs. Still, you can look at http://landofpuregold.com/service-groups.htm for more info.
