Is it true that raising two puppies from the same litter isn’t a good idea?
THIS IS AWESOME!
My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog.
Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches.

My girlfriend has three puppies to sell and I wanted to take two, but I’ve heard that sibling puppies get attached and do not create a good bond with their owners.
If it is true, would raising them separately work? As in she could raise one for a certain amount of time while I raise one?
It depends on the breed - the time that you have and the experience at raising puppies.
No good breeder actually sells two from the same litter together so what does that tell you.

As you can see there are many professionals that would advise against it.
However, if you really know what you are doing, and if you have the time to understand about training separately and not just leaving them to play together all the time then it certainly can be done. A friend of mine has kept 5 from a litter and is showing them all at just a year old. But a lot of people make a complete mess of it and end up rehoming one.

Of course not! We are keeping two puppies from our litter, and they are best friends, as well as with me and my family. You have nothing to worry about. (:

They do usually bond with each other instead of you. But it all has to do with the dogs disposition and how much time you are willing to spend with them. And breed has nothing to do with it. Each dog has its own individual personality.
