Not to mention illegal in most areas of the US. In other areas the minimum is 7. That is still too young though. 8 should be the minimum if you want well adjusted puppies/dogs. Or when you praise one for doing it right, the other one thinks he has done something right as well. We split them as soon as another foster home became available for the sake of the dogs manners and going out as well trained as possible to their new homes.
