THIS IS AWESOME! My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog. Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches. Click on the video to watch. You'll be glad you did...

I am trying to housebreak my puppy and teach him not to chew on everything. I’ve tried the training pads, he just chews them up. And he’s got more chewtoys then he knows what to do with, but he’d still rather chew on my electrical wires then his chewtoys. Any suggestions on how to break him of these bad habbits?

The sprays are a good idea, but the best idea is simply to never let him out of your sight. Keep him on a leash at all times, that way he’s never more than a few feet from you. He goes where you go. When you catch him chewing on an "unapproved" toy, take it away from him, tell him NO firmly, and give him one of "his" toys. Soon, he’ll get the idea, especially if you’re always there to correct him. Until you can trust him he should stay on the leash. My rottweiler spent the first 6 months of his life on a leash within 6 feet of me at all times. Also, having him that close helped our bond and made subsequent obedience training much easier.
