My big dumb mastiff doesn’t know how to play nice with tiny dogs?
THIS IS AWESOME!
My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog.
Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches.
Click on the video to watch. You'll be glad you did...

if my dog has issues with toy sized dogs (aggressive, plays too rough), then do you think it would help her if we got a toy sized dog?
We think it might help her learn boundaries and appropriate playing to live with a tiny dog.
She is a 100+ lbs mastiff btw.
Her name in Honey and she drools when she is happy LAWL

Your big dumb mastiff does NOT have to "play" nice with any dogs, period. Dogs are not children, they don’t need to interact with others outside of their pack.
No, another dog will not help, training YOUR dog to IGNORE all other dogs will. Hope I helped.

Why do you want or expect your Mastiff to play with toy dogs?
I actively train my dogs to be neutral in their behavior toward other dogs & focus on the task as hand when working under direction or when tracking/sniffing off lead with little direction, & while they may want to play, it’s only when I allow it & the game ends immediately on the "come" command.
There are too many owners who allow their dogs off lead without a reliable recall & have questionable temperaments, for me to allow my dogs to mix freely with dogs they may meet on their walks.
If your dog cannot play nicely with toy/small dogs, keep her away from them as her behavior should not be allowed to be a nuisance to other dogs she meets, & bringing a toy dog into the house is NOT a good idea.

No, it would not help your dog by getting it a toy sized plaything.
I have a bullmastiff who is 120lbs. Fortunately he is not overbearing or aggressive with small dogs as he has been around dogs of all sizes since he was small.
It would not help her at all to get a small dog. It would NOT help her learn boundaries. You would be jeopardizing the safety of the toy sized dog by bringing it home. Why would you do that? You know she doesn’t play well with small dogs….so don’t have her around small dogs. Even if she wasn’t being aggressive, she can very easily hurt a small dog just by stepping on it on accident.
