Just an update on …
Just an update on everyone “Concerned” with Joeys’ size. When we took him in to the vet at close to 80 Lbs, they were concerened that he was bordering being “Overweight” That was a couple of years ago. A couple of weeks ago he was 88 Lbs. He;s getting a little older (I guess he would be aproaching 6 or 7 now) and is starting to show signs of slowing down (just a bit though) He still goes for long walks and still loves to run around Outside. He seems pretty healthy to me.

awesome dog!!! hes so smart! its gorgeous, I have one of these pups too, hes only 3 months, even he looks thin in places but I have 3 dogs and feed them really well so it is just the breed, this one though, is in perfect condition.. only thing I worry about is his paws on the polished wooden floors!!

Beautiful …
Beautiful intelligent gorgeous pup. He opens his own presents that’s brilliant. Don’t listen to people if they are saying he is too thin. He is the epitome of the perfect weight for his breed. To fat and it places too much stress on bones and joints. And too thin nutritionally he will suffer. But he is perfect weight and his coat gleams. Great work great vid great dog.

I have a pitbull …
I have a pitbull mastiff mix that looks exactly like your pup. he’s about 4 and half and weighs about 110 pounds. i rescued him from a shelter from being put down due to the pitbull in him. hes and awsome pal and very gentle at heart. looks like yours is too.

When people see him …
When people see him in person, most of the comments are how SOLID he is. It may just be bad video quality. You can very slightly see his ribs and vertabre, as you are supposed to. He has dropped about 6 Lbs since this video was shot.
He eats Eukanuba …
He eats Eukanuba Premium Performance and goes for run/walks of about 10 miles per week.
If you saw him in person and actually felt him, he’s very solid. very little fat. He was up to 78 Lbs,(we used to give him Vet Balance as a supplement, but have since stopped). He is around 70-72 lbs. He was about 4 to 4 1/2 yrs old at the time. He was a rescue dog. When they found him as a stray he was about 1 1/2 yrs old and weight about 50 Lbs. Maybe he was under nourished as a pup

its not about impressing people with your dog’s appearance, smart guy. i’m talking about the dog’s health. just like an overweight human is not healthy, a dog needs to fall into a certain body fat percentage. especially since this dog is part pit bull, he should be more muscular for that frame.

maybe hes just a house dog..you know,a normal,,family pet..not everyone is worried about there pit looking all ripped with muscle and no fat..ever think about that?

Joey 4 1/2. He’s 80 …
Joey 4 1/2. He’s 80 Lbs . He has more Pit than Mastiff. Joey was a rescue and was found on the streets of NYC at about a year and a half old. He weighed about 50 Lbs then. We rescued him almost a year later and he was at 70 Lbs. I don’t think he will get much bigger. It sounds like your dog will be pretty big. At 4 months he is already 48 pounds. I would do some research on Mastiffs and see what they average for the same age. I’d be willing to bet it’s pretty close. Good Luck with your new Pup.
