Believe it or not your pet could do with a break too and so many people do not consider taking their animal on holiday with them but for what reasons? There are many places that allow dog friendly accommodation and offer out great services for the pets that they house. Here are just some of the reasons people tend not to take animals on holiday with them.
The Extra Costs
Of course you wouldn’t take your dog on a surfing in Cornwall trip but if you are thinking about taking the animal on holiday with you it will cost you a fair chunk of cash. If you are looking to take all the things like dog food and treats with you then great but the chances are you will get them where you are going too, theres extra money. Often companies will charge extra if they know you are bringing dog and this is because they can count it as half an extra person. Or something equivalent to this!
The Hassle
if you are perhaps heading to one of those UK family holidays then it is good because you do not need to worry about a dogs passport or the checks that they need as they do not actually need an official passport, you need to be looking into this kind of thing way before the trip so things are done right. Not doing this for your dog would mean a quarantine period of up to six months, this would not be good.
Although these are some of the negative things over why people just refuse to take their pets on holiday there are many positive reasons too and one of the main ones is that they are part of the family and you and they will enjoy the break away!
