THIS IS AWESOME! My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog. Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches. Click on the video to watch. You'll be glad you did...

Dogs are animals that are constantly hugged, kissed and petted by the family as these pets are often times considered as the babies of the family. Even non-dog lovers would not be surprised to see a kid sleeping under the covers with a dog as these animals are noted to be specially affectionate with children. One of the downsides of keeping dogs for a pet is their doggie smell. Some dog owners would boast that their pets have no doggie smell but the truth is all dogs have a smell that is rather unpleasant to the sensitive noses of humans.

Dog owners regularly groom the pet to ensure that they are kept clean as being considered as family members, dogs are allowed to live and even sleep with the family. Frequent bathing is not advisable for dogs as it dries up the skin thus owners would provide the pet with doggie powders and colognes to maintain the pleasant smell in between baths. Pet owners can never prevent a dog from giving in to their primitive behavior whenever given a chance.

This means that once a chance is presented the dog would roll in smelly rotten animals so that the putrid smell will cling to the fur. Dogs would commonly struggle whenever the word bath is heard as dogs commonly hate to be bathed. Fido and company though love to wallow in stagnant water. The dirty water would dry up leaving an unpleasant wet rag smell.

Dogs have the propensity to eat anything. The dog’s inclination to eat anything can contribute to the bad smell as plastics or cloths that were not totally excreted and would dangle from the dog’s anus and add to the already unpleasant smell of the pet. Feces may also stick on the fur around the anus. The dog’s abhorrent smell can be due to a medical reason. Diabetes and kidney diseases can give the dog bad breath. The disgusting smell of the pet can be can be due to an impacted anal gland, periodontal diseases as well as from an infected ear.

A dog’s natural odor is most prominent in the anal area because a dog’s anal glands produce a distinctly smelling yellowish to grayish secretion that is used by dogs to identify each other. The primary reason why a dog smell though is poor hygiene. Humans too would smell if the sweat and the grime are not washed off from the body. The dog’s unpleasant smell can be easily removed if the pet is regularly groomed.
