Dogs and puppies have a tendency to chew on things, some may find this as a bad habit but it is natural and considered as an essential fact to judge whether the pet is healthy or not. it is vey obvious with the dogs that they cannot distinguish between the valuable articles and therefore they must be trained about the valuable articles. therefore the only solution would be to teach the dogs about the right things to chew and not the everything. there can be many other reasons for why the puppies constantly chew and cannot stop it.

 

in order to avoid the discomfort caused due to teething the puppies will tend to keep chewing something from 3 to 7 months of age. this is mainly due to the reason that they loose their teeth and the adult teeth start growing. providing the toy for chewing is suggested for the puppies. with an interest of exploring and finding about the object the dogs and puppies has the habit of chewing expensive items or furniture at home. in order to avoid this condition the puppies must be provided with many chewable toys so that they can choose to their preferences and chew.If it doesn’t like its toy it will definitely chew on other stuffs that are available.

 

the dogs has the habit of entertaining themselves by chewing something they get if they are left along for a long time and get bored of. in order to stop this habit of theirs they must be always engaged with some exercises and keep them mentally and physically engaged so that this habit can be reduced in them.

 

Obedience training is also a great way to prevent the dogs from chewing on stuffs. this habit can be encouraged in them by rewarding the puppies when they chew any thing that they are actually supposed to chew. to get a positive effect from preventing the dogs from chewing it is good to spend time with them. It lets the dog know that you’re happy to see the dog chewing on its toys and not on anything else.

 

but some times it is not possible to prevent the dogs from chewing on other things and hide it from them and there are some sprays are also available in the market and also spray on the places they bite.

 

also this chewing habit can be prevented by keeping the dogs in a confined area that they will not tend to chew any thing if they are left alone in the house. And furthermore it should be left with a variety of toys so that it can remain busy while the inmates are out. However, it should be kept in mind, it is vital that these approaches should be taken with a consistency else the dog will not give up it old habits.
