To many people who are not knowledgeable about pet dogs, it could feel like it is ordinary for a pet dog to get bad breath. This is not the case though because when a pet dog is fit and when it has good teeth, it will not have bad breath. If your dog has bad breath, you would need to study further to see what is producing the condition.

03/20/2011 Corona, CA - Phillip Fargo is a family dog trainer and he shares some of his experiences with bad breath in dogs. “Normally it will be because of some issue with the teeth or the throat,” said Fargo. “But it may just be something systemic and the thing I learned the hard way is that you’ll find that it doesn’t matter the induce, it is up to you to do something about it.” Fargo was also at hand at the launch of the webpage - http://www.weimaranerproblems.com/weimaraner-puppy-training/.

There are a few owners who were doing weimaraner puppy training, who were concerned about normal dog breath smells for a pet dog. These owners also gave reports on puppy breath smells. Most of the reports were of not so great concern like when a puppy has a slight sweet or milky smell to their breath or when the pet dog’s breath smelled a bit like coffee. But, there were some worries raised when the breath becomes fishy.

There are a few reasons why a family dog would develop some problems with its breath. A benign cause is when a dog has food between its teeth. It might be fish or it might be some other meat. The more time that it stays in the teeth, the more it is going to stink up the dog’s breath. In addition to that, food in between the teeth can also induce tooth decay, which is another reason why a dog would have bad breath.

Other causes of dog fishy breath involves dental and periodontal issues. Gum and dental diseases that causes abscesses in the mouth can lead to foul smelling breath. This can be caused by poor dental hygiene and by not giving the dog the appropriate food. It might also be brought on by genetics as some canines may be more susceptible to dental diseases than others.

Treatment for the condition is gonna depend on the lead to. You can brush the dog’s teeth to remove food in the dog’s teeth. Vets can help to deal with any condition that the dog may have. Tooth extraction and antibacterial drugs may be essential.

In the weimaraner puppy training forums, it was also discussed how puppy breath can be affected by the health of he of its mother. So, if your pup’s breath is bothering you, you may also want to look at the health of the puppy dog. This is an important first step to figuring out how to deal with the issue.
