THIS IS AWESOME! My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog. Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches. Click on the video to watch. You'll be glad you did...

Is there a reason many dog owners are not successful when training their dogs?  Yes!  Most people don’t start training early enough, when a dog is a puppy dog and is more receptive to training.  The longer the training is left, the harder it is to coach the dog.

There are 3 common dog training methods a dog owner wishes to grasp to make teaching obedience more effective.

1.  - Use positive re-strengthening to coach good behavior.  This will tell the dog that it’s behaving correctly, the way in which you want.  Use treats like pieces of chicken to reward your dog when it has done a role correctly .

2.  - Don’t confuse your dog.  Be effective in the way you teach your dog by being consistent with your commands and actions.  As an example if your dog toilets within the house, act immediately; punishing your dog 15 minutes after the event will prove nothing.  The dog has leant that going toilet within is ok…

3.  - Showing your dog attention as quickly as you get home.  If your dog is hyper at first, leave him alone till he relaxes down.  If he jumps on you, turn your back to him and in a loud voice so “NO!” Give your dog attention when he eases down.

I have outlined 3 of the common dog training methods that you can use to effectively train your dog.

Most significantly ensure that you do not send your dog mixed signs.  It is common for owners to do this, and the dog doesn’t understand.  Like giving them attention when they are jumping all over you; This is the time you will need to be effective in your actions

Most people do not realize that there is more to training a dog than they first realize and it’s something that must be worked on.
