Dogs can be delightful companions and loved by both family and friends when trained properly. On the other hand, one concern that disturbs many pet owners is seeing their animals eat poop. At times, maybe you have posed the question of why dogs eat poop to yourself. Well, there are plenty of reasons, in fact, for this type of conduct.
It is well known that feces have traces of e-coli in them. It’s a harmful bacterium and can lead to various diseases to human beings as well. So how can one nonetheless explain something as dangerous as eating poop? Don’t consume yourself with the question concerning why dogs eat poop, just rationally consider it.
If your dog is a puppy then it’s a fairly natural behavior. Puppies have a tendency to put everything in their mouths and do not yet possess the overall intelligence to distinguish poop from the more edible things.
