THIS IS AWESOME! My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog. Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches. Click on the video to watch. You'll be glad you did...

The attachment that can come between a man and a dog can be remarkably solid, specifically if that bond had been strengthened living with each other for some time, I have personally cried after loosing our family pet dog that had been like a closest friend to me from my birth till I as 16 years old, when he was hit by a car one morning.

Pet dogs serve many different needs for individuals. Some individuals get a dog because they are unhappy and need a faithful friend or because they want a dog to protect the house. A dog that is taken good care of and given attention to consistently will give his life to help protect his home and his owner. For the blind a dog can be a pair of eyes to guide them get around and for the cops a canine can be an essential tool and a devoted partner, with a nose that absolutely nothing can beat.

The initial thing you have to realize about taking care of a dog is that dogs need lots of physical activities. This is precisely the same for large dogs and tiny dogs. All dogs need to be let out at least once every nine hours and have to be given at least a twenty minute walk to give the dog some fresh air, work out and a chance to relieve themselves.

It is also important to play with the dog on a frequent basis. This can mean going to the park on a saturday and sunday or day off and having a great game of fetch, throwing the ball around in your back yard or just wrestling on the ground with the dog, just make sure if you are ruff housing with a small dog that you do not unexpectedly hurt the dog. Playing with the dog for a half hour a day, is not only very good for the dog’s health but a dog that is played with often is mentally healthier and more unlikely to become a depressed dog, it also decreases your blood pressure as well and it will form an unshakable bond between you and your pup, which will extend to your family if you should start having one after having the dog.

You must also take care to save your dog from fleas. A very good way to do this is thru vinegar and fleas; that is, you spray a certain amount of vinegar over your dog’s coat and this will help repel the fleas. You can certainly use vinegar to kill fleas.

What you feed your dog is very vital to the dog’s continued good health. The better dog foods will be designated for what dog breeds the food is applicable for. Pups need particular vitamins and minerals in bigger amounts then an older dog, and the same goes for an elderly dog they need more calcium in their food to help protect their bones and joints. Feeding your dog the inappropriate food can prevent the dog’s growth and opens the dog to a more substantial risk of surgery when it is are older.

Just like a person, a dog should be taken to the veterinarian’s clinic every six months, and must be given their shots on an annual basis. Normal checkups and vaccinations will also help ensure that your dog gets to be an old happy dog.
