Stop Bad Behavior in Dogs
Sometimes the best way for you to keep your dog from behaving badly is to enroll it in dog school, or an obedience training class. However, this choice is best reserved as a last ditch effort to get your pet to behave properly again. Don’t try and be lazy because you can’t invest time to properly correct its bad behavior on your own.
If your pet won’t stop biting and the bad behavior persists, buy a couple of chew toys for it to bite down to its heart’s content. Remember, biting problems surface if your dog is still undergoing teething, or that it feels threatened or there’s just something stuck between their teeth.
Dogs like digging in a trash. Bad behavior in dogs manifest because they’re either hungry or are overcome by plain curiosity to investigate the strong. To remedy this, try spraying bitter apple on the trash bin to keep it away and try getting rid of your trash so as to keep it from being accessed by your dog.
Don’t let your dog eat its (or others’) stool. They do this because of undernourishment, stress, boredom or poor hygienic conditions. Clean up the stool as soon as the dog has eliminated it. Feed the dog special food, available through vets, that makes feces undesirable. Exercise and play with the dog daily to relieve stress and boredom. Keep the dog on a leash during walks, and use your shake can to prevent them from engaging in this bad behavior.
A general tip for making your pet dog behave to is to ignore it or not have eye contact with it. Since dogs are attention seekers, they might feel discouraged when they misbehave since it doesn’t seem to get your attention. Discourage your pet from any further bad behavior by saying “no” while ignoring it when it refuses to stop it’s bad behavior.
