Are you one of the dod lovers who are so worried about the bad attitude of their canine pets? Facing “bad dog behavior” is the thing that most dog owners would shun away from and the situation that will turn Dog Lovers into Dog Haters. But pay attention to the things that I ahve to say before you pile up that piece of newspaper and hit your bad dog again. If our dogs can speak our language, they would probably tell us that she needs the following from you in order to learn the proper “doggie manner”.

1.    Consistency

Even in disciplining a child with an attitude problem – you have to be consistent and firm. {The dos should always stay as the “do” while the don’ts will stay as “don’ts” no matter what happens.} Consistency creates the protocols. This is to make your canine pet aware that not all behavior is acceptable.

2.    Repetition

With consistency, the product will be repetition. the dog should have a regular schedule. {She must be programmed and accustomed to the day by day tasks that she has to accomplish for him to be called a “good dog”.} In able for you to produce repetition in training your dog and changing his bad manners, you must create a daily planner for your dog’s daily activities.

3.    Patience

You must be patient in dealing with your dog’s nasty attitude. Dogs have instincts and they are not like humans. Even human education is difficult and requires patience too. Just a quick comparison of human’s learning ability and dog’s potential for learning will make you realize: “I don’t have to be cruel – I just have to be patient.”

4.    Attention

Your dog needs attention and this is what most dog owners have taken for granted. They don’t have time for their dogs. In cae you don’t know - there is an existing word for this: It is termed as dog negligence. People buy dogs from the pet shop, cherish them for a while and a few months later – they will be left unattended. This will lead to the development of bad dog behavior afterwards.

5.    Understanding

Dogs need to be understood. Behind the “argh argh” “bow-wow” and other sounds that they make are cues and words saying ” I am afraid”, “I am hungry”, “Do you know that I am missing you, buddy?”. If only dogs can voice out their feelings and thoughts, there would be a million words that they have to say and one of it can be saying “thank you” for your kindness and patience to them but what if it’s the other way around? What if it’s “I hate you every second of my “doggy life”.

6.    Love

Dogs need to be loved. I always hug my dog and tell her that I love her – SO MUCH. I don’t know if she can understand what I am saying but at least I told her. Love can be demonstrated through words and actions. {If you love your canine pet, you’ll give her time and furnish all her needs.}

7.    Rewards

Dog needs rewards. {After being a good dog, why not throw off a “doggy snack”.} They want doggie treats like small children love candies. {Rewards can vary from a pat, a hug, or even playing with them outside your house or in the park where they can meet new friends.}

Aftre being knowledgeable about your dog’s needs, let’s try to figure out what he doesn’t want. Here are the things that you shouldn’t do to your dog:

1.    A whack from any rolled-up newspaper

2.    A nose-rub of her unauthorized poop or pee

3.    Scolding, yelling, hitting, or screaming
