THIS IS AWESOME! My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog. Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches. Click on the video to watch. You'll be glad you did...

Prevent Dog Barking

Excessive Dog Barking

So, you’ve decided the sleeping agreements for your new pet, but have you dog-proofed your house? Dogs (and particularly puppies) are masters at engaging in things.

Check around your house. Some areas may be obvious; others will not be so obvious. Keep all the stuffs in an area away from your dog’s reach and always lock the door to keep them safe from him. Or else, invest in a good variety of baby or pet gates that you can walk through but your dog can’t.

More to the point, stay away your dog from any spots of your house where his security is not guaranteed like swimming pool or garage (save him from antifreeze toxicity!!).

Your Home

It is a frequent knowledge that a domestic dog is considered to live inside his master’s own house. Examine each of the rooms for items your dog might be able to chew and swallow. Not just all kinds of things at his stature level, include precisely what his paws could reach like:

-         Liquor

-         Washroom and shower cleaners

-         Wax lights

-        Children’s toys, harmful for dogs when they chew or swallow any of those.

-         Chocolate - extremely toxic to dogs (Dark chocolate is much more dangerous than milk chocolate.)

-         Hosiery, particularly socks

-         Dental floss - can become lodged in throat or intestinal tract.

-         Electric wires

-         Rubbish bins

-         Glass knick knacks

-         Grapes-toxic to some dogs

-         Houseplants

-         Irons and ironing boards

-        Chef knives

-         Medicines like vitamins, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and aspirin

-         Nuts (Particular sorts of nuts such as macadamia nuts could cause paralysis.)

-         Onions - can cause anemia

-         Paper shredders

-         Nickels - can cause “penny poisoning” due to the zinc content

-         Pens, paper and other small things that could be chewed or swallowed

-         Plates and glasses - can be knocked over

-         Aromatic soaps, potpourri, aromatic plug-ins, and air fresheners

-         Sewing needles and craft kits

-         Mouthwash, Conditioner, and Shampoos

-         Suntan lotion

-         Toothpaste - extremely dangerous on most dogs
