THIS IS AWESOME! My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog. Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches. Click on the video to watch. You'll be glad you did...

It is not uncommon for dog owners to be very vocal in their professed love for the pet. Dogs form a strong bond with the owner thus it is not uncommon for these animals to be considered as a part of the family. Being a family member, the dogs will participate in all the activities of the family and taken wherever the family goes. The pet dog will be seen sleeping with the family and sharing with the food the family eats.

Dog owners mean well in sharing their food with the pet. A lot of dog owners though are not aware that some human foods are toxic to dogs. It is a common belief of dog owners that human foods are expected to be good for dogs too. However, because of a different constitution, dogs cannot tolerate some foods that are safely consumed by humans.

Popcorn are one of the foods given to the dog. Dogs of popcorn eating owners will most certainly develop a taste for this snack. Given the fact that dogs share with the activities of the family, the pet would be seen watching TV with the family. As what is common, a large bowl of popcorn will be on the table thus popcorn will be tossed to the pet every now and then.

Dog owners can allow the pet to have popcorn as this is one of the human foods that can be safely eaten by the dog. The dog’s system can tolerate popcorn thus this human food would have no dangerous effects on the dog. This snack is a good source of fiber and carbohydrates. Because dogs love this treat, popcorn would make a good training incentive. Dogs are food motivated and the sight of the popcorn on the hand of the master will entice the dog to follow the commands. Dogs are intelligent and cunning little and not so little animals!

Dog owners must know that there is always a possibility that the pet can have too much of a good thing. Dogs are voracious eaters and if allowed a big bowl of buttered and salted popcorn will be simply be sniffed by the pet! Large quantities of popcorn can cause diarrhea. Obesity is another concern that can develop if the pet is allowed to have a go at the big bowl of popcorn every night. Dogs have the tendency to finish off the contents of the popcorn bowl including the unpopped kernels. This is a dangerous condition especially for toy breeds as the kernels can block the rectal passage of the dog.
