THIS IS AWESOME! My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog. Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches. Click on the video to watch. You'll be glad you did...

If your pet dog stinks, it is more than probable that it needs a bath. But, if a dog still stinks after it has been bathed, then there could be a problem. Smells could be indicative of bacterial growth. More often than not, the condition will just lead to the stinkiness but it also can bring about lesions on the pet dog’s skin.

03/14/2011 Wilmington, DE - Taye Port has a rescued family pet who is now suffering from skin problems that induce oozing skin lesions. “It is really uncomfortable for us, I am positive it is bad for the family pet too,” said Port. “So we can have him tested, we took him to the dog vet. They gave us some meds that assisted with the odor.” Port was also one of the individuals who were at hand at the launch of the site - http://www.weimaranerproblems.com/weimaraner-biting/.

In a form  designed to discuss weimaraner biting, one owner discussed an issue that dogs have with smell. Evidently of three pets, the other  two can go without a bath and not stink for up to two weeks. The female pet dog on the other hand gets smelly quickly.

It is only natural for a canine to get smelly. How quickly an animal gets stink usually depends on quite a few factors. Genetics can come into play because some dogs will be more susceptible to smelling than others. The coat will also be factor that can affect how a dog smells. The pet dog’s activity level could also induce smelliness in dogs.

Since  dogs do not sweat like humans family pet, owners really need to look at their pet’s activity levels. For example, had your canine been spending lots of time in a smelly place? Weather is also gong to play a part because a wet canine is more often than not a smelly canine.

Bacterial and fungal infections on the skin could also lead to stinkiness. There are a number of reasons why dogs will have infections. Parasitic and yeast infections could also cause concerns with smelling and can even be accompanied by irritation.

To keep dogs from smelling, owners may plan to augment the frequency of baths - every 3 days or as the dog requires. When taking the canine to a pro groomer, owners also need to ask the groomers to express the dog’s anal glands as that can induce body odor in dogs.

It is really essential for owners to find out the reason why they have a stinky dog. The same thing was suggested in the weimaraner biting forums. This is due to the fact that you will need to know the reason for your canine smelling in order to find a good therapy for it.
