You just got a new puppy whom you adore, but it’s driving you crazy whining. You don’t know how to stop the crying, and your neighbors are complaining about it, too. You are well aware that the whining must stop, but you certainly don’t want to take back the cute little puppy. What methods can be used to accomplish such a task? Luckily, there are ways to help your dog stop whining! By making an unpleasant noise which only the dog can hear, there is an electrical device which will help with the undesirable behavior. Another way to stop your dog from whining is to tell it to stop every time it begins to whimper, and be very consistent with the command. This requires you to be there as often as possible when your pup is whining so that your dog can learn to stop whining and start being quite. There are other ways to help your dog learn how to stop whining, as well as how to stop other problem behaviors, but this article will focus on the devices and system already mentioned here.

Electrical devices

To make your dog stop whining, there are electircal devices like the one mentioned above which doesn’t hurt the dog and is inexpensive. Your dog will not like the sound they produce, which will prove to be a key factor in the training process. As a great analogy, imagine hearing a loud, unpleasant sound every time you ate fattening food. It would not likely be long before there was a stop to all questionable food selections, due to the unbearable nature of the noise they prompted. This is the idea behind electrical sound emitters that are used to help your dog learn how to stop whining. Should there be uncertainty regarding the tools, you are reluctant to antagonize the dog, or are worried that the tool will do harm to the animal, options other than audio tools exist to help make the dog stop whining.

Predictable Teaching

The next best solution is to be present when your dog is whining so that you can get him to stop whining. To do this, when he or she starts to whimper you loudly tell it no or make a quick, distracting noise. You should never strike the dog. Regardless of what your puppy is doing, hitting her is never the answer. Hitting is is the least effective thing you can do and will only create problems down the road.  There are much more effective solutions to get your dog to stop whining. Clapping a rolled magazine or simply the owner’s two hands are methods to make the dog stop any disfavored activity. The reason these methods are so effective is because dog’s ears are actually very sensitive and your dog will not like any of these noises. Employ this tactic whenever the dog whines, and do so frequently. By following these tips consistently, you will find your dog will stop whining and your neighbors stop complaining about the noise.
