How To Name Your Dog
THIS IS AWESOME!
My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog.
Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches.

After picking up the adorable and cuddly bundle of fur the next job is to pick up a suitable name for the pet. The family members, especially the children will be excited with the process of naming the new dog. The list of possible names for the dog is limitless. A whole range of available names for your new pet will be made available simply by logging on to pet name websites. However, the selection of the name can be a challenging chore not because of the limited choices but because of several factors to be considered. How to select a great name for your dog?
The name of a dog suggests what kind of personality the dog owner has. A wacky pet owner would choose outlandish names while a dog owner with a staid personality would settle for the more common Rover, Fido or Spot. Some dog owners would express their sense of humor by naming a large breed Tiny or calling a black coated dog Snow White. However, the name you choose will stick as long as the pet lives. Calling the dog Pooper or Stinky is really your choice but as you would call the dog about 35,000 wouldn’t you think that the name would give a negative impression on the dog?
There are no hard and fast rules that must be observed in naming the dog but there are guidelines that can be followed. Although a unique name would look good in the registration form, it would not be a suitable choice if it cannot be properly pronounced by the family. The long name will confuse the dog. A one or two syllable name would be easier for the dog to remember. So that when you say the name the dog will know at once the he is being called.
You have chosen to call the dog Fit because of its healthy appearance. However, Fit sounds like sit and the name will be confusing for the dog that is undergoing obedience training. Dogs are intelligent animals but their capacity to understand humans is limited. When given the command “Sit” the dog will come to the person rather than following the command.
Some owners never bother naming the dog but just the same affection and the loyalty given by these animals remain the same. But if we give our cars and houses names would it be any trouble to choose a name for our most loyal friend?
