THIS IS AWESOME! My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog. Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches. Click on the video to watch. You'll be glad you did...

How To Make My puppy Behave

Puppies, as they reach full maturity, retain their good or bad behavior that they have acquired during their early years. If you spoiled your puppy with attention while it was still young, chances are you’ll have a spoiled brat for a dog when it grows up. It’s encouraged to teach your puppy to behave as soon as possible.

Puppies can be taught to behave by simply ignoring them when they are trying to get your attention in the wrong way. If it gets your attention by tugging on your clothes, then you’re giving it bad ideas by taking notice of it. Ignore your puppy no matter how irresistible it may be – that’s your chance to impart it some wisdom, that it shouldn’t get your attention that way. If you ignore them when they misbehave, it gives them the idea that what they’re doing is wrong and will stop.

If you want your puppy to behave properly, you should know when to reward it and shower you with attention. If it’s calm and you command it to sit for example, and it does it – praise it and reward it if you have to. During this stage puppies respond more to being rewarded than being punished.

You are the one training your puppy to behave and this makes you are the boss - the alpha. What you teach or don’t teach about its behavior will carry on into adulthood. Now you have a dog that, when a guest or other family member walks into the house, will sit and remain calm. Your friends will look forward to coming over, instead of avoiding visiting because they know the dog is going to jump on them. That is the ideal dog to have, a well-behaved one.

The only way for a puppy to behave properly is for you to be clear that you are its master. Establish your place as the alpha and it is your follower, that way it has a good enough reason to behave around you. If you have well behaved puppy on your hands, then there is no reason to be worried.
