THIS IS AWESOME! My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog. Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches. Click on the video to watch. You'll be glad you did...

Most people who get a puppy do some level of crate training. Whilte they are effective for training they are also usually fairly ugly. Most pet shops will not give you any crates that will match your decorating style. Most often they are metal or plastic monstrosities. You won’t really need to worry about this if you use your crate in the garage or for traveling.

But if your puppy will be living inside your home their crate will most likely be in your living space. The good news is that there are several good cures for the ugly dog crate. The two main options you have are to select a crate that looks like real furniture or purchase a dog crate cover

You can find dog crate covers in a wide selection of fabrics. They can be found in just about any color or pattern that you can imagine. Since they are designed to fit snugly over your crate you will need to take care and order the right size.

Dog crate covers are a simple and inexpensive way to improve the looks of your dog crate. They also help to make the crate cozier for your dog. Many dogs appreciate the den feeling that adding a crate cover provides. Often you can find crate covers for less than forty dollars. If you want something other than a crate cover consider purchasing a crate made to look like furniture. One popular option is a wicker crate. These crates do not clean out easily like plastic and metal so you should wait until your dog is potty trained to use wicker. Wood crates that look just like high end pieces of furniture are also available. Most of these type of crates hide the crate area under a table top. These crates will not be cheap or easy to clean so do not buy one until your dog is fully trained.
