Doggy Door - Get The Big One Your Big Dog Needs
THIS IS AWESOME!
My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog.
Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches.

If you have big dogs, then you know the racket they can make when they want your attention. You can get annoyed when you get interrupted by a big dog who wants to take a stroll in your yard, or wants to get back in. You close the book you’re reading, pause the movie you’re watching, turn the heat down on the pot in the kitchen, and go the door to do your dog’s bidding. You need a dog door, so you can let your dog come and go as it pleases - without it barking like a dog megaphone, or clawing your door as though a horse was outside.
With a good doggy door, you get to spend more time for yourself. A dog door is essentially a frame fitted on a sawed-off lower portion of a door. Below are some dog door types so you’ll get an idea of what suits your home.
The basic dog flap, the type you see in most dog owner’s homes. These are essentially plastic flaps the swing both ways. There are flexible semi-transparent varieties. A variant includes a light-weight plastic board that also swings both ways. Some models offer locking setting, so that the flap can open one way and afterwards automatically lock. The last setting is particularly useful when you want to lock your dog in once it comes home, or lock it out when it goes out.
Automatic dog doors. There are magnetic and electronic varieties. Both involves setting up an electrically powered door that opens when your dog is near and closes when your dog gets far. So only your dog, which wears a special collar can get in or out. The magnetic door type involves your dog wearing a collar with a magnet. A receiver collar is used for the electronic type.
Just some reminders
Please make sure the dog door you get matches your dog’s height. There are usually info about that in many online dog supply stores.
Security comes first. Since you’re getting a big doggy door, that means a persona can get in. It would not be much of a problem if yours were a small dog - meaning a small dog door - but it’s not, it’s s big dog’s boor, imagine a small kid squeezing through that. You may want to either get a dog door with lock settings (it can be calibrated so that once your dog gets in or out, it locks up), (2) automatic dog doors that open only when your dog is near, or (3) a custom built variety (in case you’re having it installed on a special type of door or through a wall).
