Dog Bark Collar - When Your Dog Barks All Night
THIS IS AWESOME!
My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog.
Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches.

Is your dog barking too loudly, too often, and non-stop? If you’re losing sleep over that, so are your neighbors. If you’re renting, you may not want to risk eviction. Because of this nuisance habit, some dog owners reduce the time they spend with their pets. So that means reduced time out on the park and on long walks.
Dogs want your attention, and they do it through barking
One problem here is that the less time your spend with your dog, the more your dog may bark, to get you to come to them. If you wake up to their barking and come to their side to shush them, then by cause and effect the dog wins - it made you come to its side. They bark, you come, so you’ve been conditioned. It’s a cycle you can break.
Sounds, shadows, birds, raccoons, cats, other dogs, things moving in the bush
Dogs also react to stimuli in their environment. This can be anything from the loud sound of a truck pulling close your house, to the presence of other dogs being walked and passing near your front door, to birds chirping and jumping about on electric wires, to cats and raccoons and things moving in the bush. You can’t always be there to shoo other animals away, and you can’t do much about a truck’s sound.
dog bark collar - use one to tone down your loudly barking dog
There’s a way to avoid getting up at night to pacify that dog, and to enjoy your time walking your dog on the park. A bark never really stands alone, it is preceded and followed by more. You don’t want that habit to continue, and you need a dog bark collar to do that. You’ll notice, when you get a no bark collar for your dog, how it interrupts each bark. The collar releases a very annoying stimulus, which the dog will want to avoid, so there will no more barking over time.
The bark collar dynamics - stimulus and response theory
Every single no bark collar follows the same concept. The collar has a waterproof device powered by a battery. It triggers when your dog barks, releasing a static shock, a scented spray, or a jarring tone depending on the model you choose. If a kid reached out for the cookie jar and his hand got slapped every time he tried it, that’s the theory here. The more annoying and irritating the slap, the more the dog refrains from barking.
What kind of stimulus works best for most dogs?
The three types of bark collar stimuli - spray, sound, static - has been compared in some studies, to see which works well overall. The results found the static and the spray type to be the more effective deterrent to nuisance barking. A low current volt is released by the static type, a stimulus that jars your dog and annoys it greatly, without posing any harm. The other type, the spray type releases a scented but harmless fluid towards the area of your dog’s nose to momentarily overwhelm his sense of smell.
