Do You Get Frustrated Whenever Your Doberman Is Jumping?
THIS IS AWESOME!
My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog.
Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches.

It’s normal behavior for your Doberman to be jumping, therefore try not to get irritated at him. Jumping is a sign of excitement, frequently seen when they jump on their litter mates and mother when they are puppies. Your Doberman is showing his excitement by jumping on you, after you may be gone for hours on end. Even so, jumping around is not alright and should be halted as soon as possible. You certainly don’t want a full size Doberman jumping on you as it can certainly cause a great deal of damage, something you might not understand while he’s just a puppy.
Usually, Doberman jumping carries on through adulthood mainly because either the owner doesn’t know how to stop it or the dog has never been trained to stop jumping. Believe it or not, this actually is one of the easiest behavior problems to stop when you approach it the correct way.
You shouldn’t put both hands out and push the dog away, although this is the normal response by most people. If you do put your hands out, it’s possible to injure him and he could even take it as playful behavior.
Trying not to react is the better solution. Either stay perfectly still until he calms down and then give him attention or keep moving away from him, ignoring his actions. Soon after he stops jumping, remember to praise and also reward your four legged friend.
You certainly should not acknowledge your Dobermans jumping, because this might lead to him believing that you’re giving him attention for his behavior. He’ll associate himself with being quiet and well mannered if you hold off until he calms down to offer him affection.
Another essential tip to keep in mind is to be sure to teach your canine friend the basic ‘Down’ command, which should be used every time that he jumps, by every member of your household. If every person in your home uses different commands with your dog, it is very confusing for him to know what is expected of him.
You need to praise your dog after he stops jumping with your command, it’s very important. Your dog is going to understand faster of what is expected of him if you continually reward good behavior..
Be sure to keep from punishing your Doberman for jumping. Until you train him otherwise, he won’t understand that what he is doing is wrong. Punishing him will not stop him from jumping, and can cause him to become fearful of you as they are incredibly sensitive, leading to a dangerous environment.
