THIS IS AWESOME! My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog. Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches. Click on the video to watch. You'll be glad you did...

Skeptics would always be ready to assert that dogs don’t cry. Dogs being animals have no emotions thus they are not capable of crying and shedding tears. Dogs are indeed man’s best friends and one pet would not be enough for a dog lover. Although owners form a strong bond with the pet it is common to get another dog if the pet is gone. Dogs are cuddled and constantly given attention. Pet owner have all the opportunities to see if the dog is crying because of the attention showered on the pet. Tearfalls would be absorbed by the fur thus it would be difficult to see if the dog is really crying but a discerning pet parent would know if something is wrong with the pet.

Dogs have tear glands thus it would be natural for these animals to shed tear. Tear stains on the face of the dog are often the concern of people owning dogs with light colored coats. The tears produced by the tear glands have the purpose of lubricating the eyes and flushing out dirt that managed to enter the eyes

The dog’s eyes can be seen brimming with tears. The fur on the face will have tear stains. These signs of crying are not attributed to the emotional state of the dog but to a medical condition or to a foreign object in the dog’s eyes. Clugged tear ducts is one of the reason why the dog is tearing. Scientists believe that only humans are capable of shedding emotional tears.

Naturally, dog lovers would have a different view. People that have formed strong ties with their pets would aver that dogs have developed many human-like qualities. After thousands years of associations with humans, it is highly probable that dogs have imbibed not only the actions but also the behaviors of humans.

Man’s best friends form strong associations with their masters. Contrary to the theory that dogs don’t have emotions, these pets are known to mourn the death of the master. There are many stories that tell how the dog would howl, whine and cry when parted from its beloved master. The pitiful sounds a lamenting dog makes would be heartrending to the other members of the family.

Whether the dog has the ability to feel emotions and to cry when they are sad, or whether dogs can’t shed emotional tears, it would still be the responsibility of the dog owner to see what is wrong with the pet. Apart from being lonely, a dog that is crying may have a medical concern that needs to be addressed immediately.
