Ben Williams, a famous American writer once said that there is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face. It is a true saying and very much believed by dog lovers. As you know, the world we live in has so many dog breeds and choosing the one you adore can be quite a difficult task. But if you rest your eyes on a very fluffy, cute white puppy, chances are that you’d fall in love with it and want to take it home then and there. The American Eskimo puppy, with its fluffy tail and body is sure to make anyone want to take it home and care for it.
The American Eskimo puppy comes in three breeds. These include the standard type, miniature type and the toy dog type. The biggest of the three is the standard type. American Eskimo puppy that falls into this range can weigh up to 18 or 35 pounds. Their height is around 15 to 19 inches. The medium kind of breed is the miniature type. The miniature type of American Eskimo puppy, when grown will weigh between 10 to 20 pounds with a height of 12 to 15 inches. The smallest of the kind is the toy type of dog. Their weight comes in between 6 to 10 pounds with a height between 9 to 12 inches.
Are you wanting to be a future owner of an American Eskimo puppy? The puppy may come from a healthy breed, but it’s wise to keep a few things in mind before buying one. An American Eskimo puppy, as it grows older, can be more susceptible to illnesses such as various allergies, progressive retinal atrophy, epilepsy, etc. Therefore, utmost care should be given to the puppies at all times.
Most of the above diseases could occur as the American Eskimo puppy grows older. Since this breed has a likelihood of having severe allergies due to fleas, attention must be given if you notice them scratching frantically. Even one single flea could result in scratching and there onwards skin lesions, etc could occur. Therefore, keeping their coat clean and free from ticks, etc can be good for the American Eskimo puppy.
American Eskimo puppies can get overweight if they are kept indoors all the time. The American Eskimo puppy is an active kind, always needing to play and run around. Giving them the chance to do that will keep them healthier and fit in the long run.
