THIS IS AWESOME! My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog. Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches. Click on the video to watch. You'll be glad you did...

Poodles can be a challenge to train Because they can also be stubborn at times and as with all dogs, they cannot be easily understood. They may do good today, poor tomorrow, without having any obvious cause for it - at least not obvious to the owner! So here is an advice to secure a successlfu poodle training. Here are the basic things that you can find on most poodle training books.

The most helping training tip is usually more focused on the trainer rather than on the pet. It is important to remain patient and realize that your dog doesn’t always understand things the way you do. Little changes in daily activity can create chaos in how dogs see the world, and poodles also hate changes more than any dog breeds. Not only can this confuse them, it can sour their mood and cause them to misbehave.

What you need to do is put consistency in your training. The more consistent your training is, the faster your dog can master all your trainings.

Again, patience is called for in training. Never rush things or force your pet to master more than one training command at a time. Start with simple things. Make sure that each trick or activity is something your poodle has completely mastered before trying something else, and then be sure to maintain the already mastered tricks and behaviors with reinforcing activities so they don’t “lose” it. Even the smartest poodles can forget. Barking poodles for instance can be cured once, but thay may lose their training if you are not consistent.

This small set of poodle training tips is the tip of the iceberg, but they are also the two most important things for obtaining results. If you are consistent and patient, you will get your poodle trained exactly how you desire. These are the things that you should learn to do yourself before you bring your poodle to any poodle training club.
