THIS IS AWESOME! My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog. Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches. Click on the video to watch. You'll be glad you did...

Companies that manufacture skin care products spend a lot of money advertising their items on television for human skin care. However, dog skin problems exist just like human beings. Let’s take a look at some of the things which can be the source of discomfort for canines.

Foods can cause allergies in dogs. Some people are allergic to strawberries, and others are allergic to different types of nuts. Dogs can be allergic to some of the ingredients that are used in processing their foods. Try feeding a good natural product and see if the condition clears up. Also make it a point to explain to other people involved with the pet that they are not to feed the canine anything without first getting your approval.

Sleeping materials could be a problem. Cedar shavings are good for dog bedding because they help minimize tick and flea problems. Be careful about synthetic materials which may be easy to clean, but could be the cause of skin problems in your canine friend. Read the labels for your pets concerns just the same as you do for your own safety.

Human cosmetic products. Most people know that dogs like to lick just about anything. This is part of how they investigate the world around them. Some of the products humans buy for their own use can cause problems for dogs whether taken internally or spilled on their coats. Keep all types of cleaning products and other liquids and creams out of the reach of canines. Child safety devices are often used for protecting family pets, as well as the children.

Vegetation growing in the yard. Such things as Poison Ivy and Poison Oak contain oils that cause tremendous misery to some humans. Few people realize that dogs can also be affected by these oils. Try to keep your property free of these plants, and watch to see what your dog may be rolling around in each day. Regularly inspect their outdoor areas for signs of any other plants which can cause reactions.

Excited and nervous behavior. People become agitated when they have a constant itch that doesn’t seem to go away regardless of how much they scratch it. Dogs are the same. They can keep scratching until they bleed and need expensive treatments. Even the best trained obedience dogs can only take so much, and then they have to address whatever is causing them so much itching.

Take your canine to regular vet appointments. Yearly vaccinations are needed to help keep your dog from the dangers of Rabies and miserable symptoms of Kennel Cough. Parasites can actually kill your buddy, so regular worm tests can ensure that they don’t have heartworms eating away the walls of their heart. It is important to keep copies of your pets health records just as you keep them for all other members of the family.

Owning a dog can be one of the most enjoyable aspects of life. They look to you for all of their needs, and come to you when they have a problem they are unable to tend by themselves. Make a habit of watching their behavior for any signs of change that could indicate dog skin problems. It is important for you to watch the actions of your pets just as closely as you would your own children.
