A Dog Cannot Jump Over An Invisible Dog Fence
THIS IS AWESOME!
My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog.
Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches.

When we say runner, we usually think to a convict or a sportsman, but dog owners think at their dogs. What’s a runner? A pet owner who’s dog does not like to stay alone at home and escapes from the yard where it is contained will call it a runner. These dogs are usually harmless, but they get bored while staying alone at home, having no companion to play with, seeing the same things happening every day, or they just need to exercise or to walk as they are active and intelligent animals. We all want our dogs to have as much freedom as they possibly can, but don’t let your energetic canine companion become prey to the dangers of the outside world. There is an option now that gives your dog the illusion of complete freedom while keeping him or her completely confined and protected. This option is best known as the invisible dog fence..
All those people who don’t want to built any kind of physical fence to border their yard or even the entire property can now be relieved, because the invisible dog fence is in fact and electronic system composed of a central unit also called transmitter, a number of proximity sensors and a collar that will be worn by the dog. The collar is programmed to read when the dog is getting too close to the sensor and will start beeping as a warning sign, telling your dog not to go any further. While firstly using such a collar, the dog will probably not understand the meaning of the warning beep and will continue advancing towards the limits of the yard, but in this case the collar will be trigger to deliver it a mild electric pulse that will convince the dog to stop. Shocks are usually issued only when the dog is wearing the collar for the first time, because after a couple of pulses there will be no more need of them, as your dog will learn to stop when hearing the warning beep.
The major issue most people have with these fences is that they believe the shock the collar gives their dog is inhumane treatment. Maybe this belief was true in 1971, when the invisible dog fence has been first invented, but since then the whole containment system drastically improved. It happened to all of us to experience at home pulses of static electricity of a higher intensity than the shocks delivered by these collars. It doesn’t harm the dog at all; it simply startles your pet. Most of the collars used come with a setting for the intensity of the shock and owners are encouraged to test the collar out for themselves before placing it on their dog. It is certainly more humane than the suffering your dog would experience if he is hit by a vehicle or wounded by a neighbour’s gun.
Invisible fences have been rewarding for dogs and their owners for decades now. The peace of mind that the fence gives the owner is well worth the cost of the fence, which is less than if you were to put an average fence around your yard. You’ll have a happy dog playing inside the secured area. Do yourself and your puppy a favor, and get an invisible fence for him or her to play around in. And regrets for no one.
