Your vet may also recommend other tests to diagnose kidney failure in your dog, as an X-ray or ultrasound.

 

Keep your dog hydrated. It ‘important that your dog drinks the water as possible, if your kidneys are not working properly.

 

Once the diagnosis of renal failure have been confirmed in your dog, your vet will make additional recommendations for your dog food and some supplements and vitamins that may be useful to help treat your dog kidney.
