Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches.

well, the type of …
well, the type of dogs used in police work we bred for taking people down. the dogs already know what to do, the trainers just have to make sure they dont go after the wrong peopel or go for some major artery.
I have a lot of …
I have a lot of respect for the people who train these Police dogs,,,it takes sooo much time and effort that in the end I would just get annoyed and I am sure the dog would sense it,,which probably wouldn’t help me any….
In the same way you …
In the same way you train a dog to fetch. It is trying to fetch the person though, who is going to put up a fight. The dogs just know how to listen
If you use an …
If you use an Ecollar correctly, and train correctly, the dog will ‘listen’ to you. These dogs are obviously IN TRAINING and doing well. You have a strong opinion about something you don’t seem to know much about. It is a tricky peice of equipment to utilize properly, and 95% of trainers (including the ‘dog whisperer’) don’t know how to use it properly. I would know–I have retrained quite a few dogs that were screwed up from bad training with E collars.
today at school …
today at school theyy did the same show!!!
How do they …
How do they initially train the dogs to attack on command?
My message was an …
My message was an answer to austin132, and sure I knew it was sort of superficial (of course not every dog can be trained and training involves a lot of work and a passion which is not everybody’s) but I still don’t find very nice to see a thumb down with no explanations…especially since my intention was to tell someone who is probably a dog enthusiast about a dog sport he seem not to be aware of
k-9 dogs care for …
k-9 dogs care for their owner safety, so does the cop who owns the dog care for his furry friend.
Yes, they are …
Yes, they are absolutely beatifull and fun dogs to work with.
Not sure what kind …
Not sure what kind of training you are looking for your dog but sure you can, many dog-sports are designed to develop abilities similar to that used by k9. Try to search for example for schutzhund in the internet.
the dogs are ” …
the dogs are “listening” to the electric collars around theyre necks if u look closely. look also at the left non controlling hand what are they all holding?
haha lol
haha lol
yes you can
yes you can
No.. The dog only …
No.. The dog only listens to its owner…which is one specific cop.
So Would if the …
So Would if the criminal says “get’em” and the dog attacks the cop?
Hey whoever made …
Hey whoever made this video good job on showing “joe public” how to police train dogs. Really Smart.
you are wrong about …
you are wrong about military working dogs. They may have diffent handlers in thier careers, but they are just as obediant. I being a vet, and currently in iraq working with our military , have talked to mwd handlers, and also look up mwd adoptions and read the stories of some of the dogs that have been adopted after they retired from duty.
Yeah, these dog’s …
Yeah, these dog’s are really responsive and really obey. Military dogs aren’t really obediant. I think it’s the constant change in handlers.
Policedogs are …
Policedogs are amazing. Look how eager the dog is to please its owner and to do the work. Love these dogs.
peopel think its …
peopel think its soo hard to teach a dog to detect weed its not acually and i have a sharpie and i every time it smells weed it runs towrd it
can you have this …
can you have this training done without being a cop? because i got a german sheperd thats about 8-10 weeks old
If you look at 1:00 …
If you look at 1:00 to 1:25, the guy with the padding walks up and pets the dog twice… the padding really makes no difference with a well trained dog.
so “get em” is …
so “get em” is secret police code for get them.
Excellent work.
Excellent work.
i was going to do …
i was going to do the same, until i saw “the”.
