@macdadysymon when i would play frisbee with my dog he would bring it back to me, but not let me have it. So i started getting pieces of hot dogs ready, that way he would come back. then he will drop the frisbee(or ball in yor case) to eat the hot dog. when he drops the toy i grab it and give him the hot dog at the same time. But DO NOT give him the treat if he snaps at your hand when you try to grab the toy. this lets the dog know that it is a good thing when i have the frisbee.
