Distraction dog training - heel around your other dogs
THIS IS AWESOME!
My favorite dog trainer and dog whisperer of all time has just released a free video online explaining how to eliminate 94% of all unwanted behavior in ANY dog.
Her name is Krista Cantrell and I absolutely LOVE the way she teaches.
Click on the video to watch. You'll be glad you did...

http://www.sitmeanssit.com Trying to implement all of your family dogs into the training can really be useful and get all of your dogs used to distraction.
After all, the other dogs in your family can be a big distraction, especially when you are playing with one, and not the others. Use this to your advantage. You can bring food out for part of this training to even raise the bar further. Happy training!
Sit Means Sit franchise dog owners are very used to working around distraction and clients understand how important it is, and like that we raise dog training to another level for them, and teach them how to do it.

Some food is used in this video, but that is also to show that the other dogs know that I have it so it is a big distraction for them to not come running over once in a sit or down position. Dogs need to see distraction as just a regular part of life.
So… whats that in …
So… whats that in your hand that they are so interested in? Treats? Also, can this be done as effectively with only a slight tug on the leash and a “heel” command to get them to walk with you as attentively? I have been using the heel command with no treats and with distractions and it works in every situation EXCEPT when my dog sees another dog not too far from him? How can I stop this and keep him as attentive to my command even under the interest of another dog? He isn’t fixed.

We saw people trying to train a dog: the canine was more interested in us walking than in his master’s commands.
