Also necessary for this specific breed because there are gobs of lab breeders due to the popularity of the breed...remember, the worst thing to happen to the quality of any breed is to become seriously popular...that's when idiots toss their hats in the breeding ring and bloodlines aren't monitored as less reputable people try to pimp out their dogs for extra cash and care little about perfecting the breed, which is the only reason anyone should get into a breeding program, and is what separates reputable breeders from disreputable ones.
