meirit should be judged totaly on what the dog was made to do, then maybe we would see and improvment in the dogs health, fitness and general wellbeing. bad breeding and inbreeding is wrong! hummmm who would you trust a Vet or a guy who dosnt appear to know his earhole from his asshole?
Dont look any good the way they are going anyway dont understand it :S

0:34 what the fuck?!?!?!?! GSD should be longer than they are taller. that’s one freakin uglyu dog.. american GSD sucks.. everyone knows that. GSD’s roached back doesnt affect their leg strenght. though they ar now prone to hip displaysia.. but sad for those showlines, they already lost their prey drive. the only thing left is their pure loyalty to their family. i love my showline GSD..

Breeders, judges and dogshows are all to blame!! And don’t forget the people buying these dogs.
The breeders breeding for health and caracter are rare! But they do exist.

personally England has horrible looking dogs compared to Canada and U.S. .. American and Canadian bred dogs look an EFFING lot healthier.. i never knew Bull Terriers and Daschunds looks like that before!! how grosse!

My God, that is tragic…I lovethese dogs, the GSD is my favorite breed and I too, was shocked when I had my first experience with both a dog show and “show” shepherds some years back after only being exposed to what I now see as generally well-bred and sound “pet” quality. and that judge! anyone else notice how he dodged her question on whether the dogs could do their original jobs? he said they weren’t up to “standard” but it wasn’t a straight answer to the question at all.

I have a pure …
I have a pure German show line without the roached back. Took me a long time to find a showline that has the fight and prey drive necessary for schutzhund, but one that doesn’t move like a frog. Some breeders of showlines are still getting it right, most are not. People with working lines insist that he has working lines due to his form and drives, but his pedigree is all showlines. they just aren’t bred to be frogs, yet still qualify for show. I hate what conformation has done to many dogs.

People around where …
People around where I live would never in a million years consider buying one of these cripples. Hopefully the demand for these crippled show dogs will decrease to such an extent that the healthy, working lines will be the desirable breed standard.
