except for wild dogs have puppies outdoors all the time and they are fine. animals are perfectly capable of surviving outside. domestic pets shouldn’t be left outside, but especially on farms, lots of cats and dogs live outdoors and take care of themselves.

Nope. I have several cat books, which say that around 95% of tortise shell cats are female, which leaves around 5% being male. I know this because me and my mum temporarily adopted a MALE tortise shell cat, until the cat went away to Cats In Need.
